Jorge Flores is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) who works with all age groups and is bilingual in Spanish and English. Jorge has evening weekday availability and availability on weekends if needed. He received his bachelor's degree in International Studies and Spanish from the University of North Carolina Wilmington before earning his Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Jorge has experience working directly with children and families from the United States as well as children and families who migrated to the U.S. from other countries. His areas of expertise include life transitions, immigration-related distress, LGBTQIA+ issues, self-esteem, interpersonal challenges, and helping young people identify and understand emotions. Jorge utilizes an integrative approach to therapy to ensure that each client's unique needs are met. By blending techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness practices, and person-centered therapy, he creates a safe and supportive environment for personal growth. Jorge is dedicated to helping clients explore their challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their goals, fostering resilience and self-discovery along the way.
Jorge enjoys spending time with his dog son, Oso, cooking, hiking, and traveling around the work in his free time.
